2014 puerto rico1From October 31 thru November 2 the biggest BT tournament in Puerto Rico was held with the union of the three beach tennis institutions of Puerto Rico, IFBT Puerto Rico, Isla Verde Beach Tennis Club and Puerto Rico's Beach Tennis Federation. We had the representation of differents countries such as USA, Mexico, Brasil, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Catalonia (Spain) and Puerto Rico.

The CSIT and the IFBT have signed an agreement to include beach tennis as a new sport in the International Workers and Amateurs in Sports Confederation.

CSIT's (Confédération Sportive Internationale Travailliste et Amateur) world congress in Lignano (Italy) gathered CSIT's Chair, Harald Bauer, and both IFBT Chair and Deputy Chair, Giandomenico Bellettini and Joan Egea, to sign a joint agreement to promote beach tennis and upgrade it to a new sport discipline. Members of the federation also agreed to promote it worldwide.

casadeiThe 4th European Championship was held for the first time ever at Villagio 4 Mori campsite in the town of Muravera in Sardinia, an autonomous region of Italy known for its beautiful beaches.
Most participants came from Catalonia and the city of Ravenna, Italy.
Men's, women's and mixed doubles were contested in both Pro and Advanced categories as well as singles and Over 35s.
